Daughter reels in shock after discovering lifeless bodies of parents lying in pool of blood

The Parkweg police attended to a complaint in Hager Cresent, Hospitaalpark that left many questions unanswered yesterday.

According to the Mangaung-Metro police spokesperson, liutenant colonel Thabo Covane, upon arrival at the address, the police were led to the lounge room where they found two lifeless bodies in a blood pool.

“The two bodies are of a 47-year-old man and his 38-year-old wife,” added Covane.

Furhtermore, the 17-year-old daughter of the deceased discovered the bodies at around 06:00 before heading to school. Reports also state that the 17-year-old stays in the cottage with her 21-year-old brother and it is customary for her to swing by the main house every morning, open it up and wait for her school transport inside.

Yesterday morning however, was not an ordinary one. The 17-year-old walked into a traumatizing scene of her parents. She then rushed back to wake her brother up and they called the police.

A team of investigators as well as the Local Criminal Record Centre experts were summoned to the scene.

The authorities then examined the scene as well as the bodies. As a result, they discovered that the female victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds on the head and body. The male had one gunshot wound on the head.

“Both the deceased were employees of Mangaung-Metro traffic department. The investigation in the murder and inquest cases continues,” concluded Covane.
