Couple found slaughtered, bodies dumped in an open street

Two people suspected to be a couple were found brutally murdered with multiple stab wounds on their bodies in Hamilton industrial area near Bloemfontein, the Free State police said on Tuesday, October 4.

Police in Kagisanong, a township situated in Mangaung, Bloemfontein are investigating the horrific killing of the duo, and appeals to the public to help with the information that can lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of this brutality.

Mangaung metro police spokesperson Thabo Covani, says lifeless bodies of the two victims were discovered by a passer-by who allegedly saw bodies dumped in Piet Human Street, Hamilton industrial area.

Covani says, yesterday the police were summoned to a horrific scene and found bodies of the 37-year-old male and a 32-year-old female.

“The male victim had his head covered with a transparent plastic and multiple stab wounds on the left side of the chest. The female victim also had stab wounds on the upper body,” detailed Covani.

“Any member of the public who might have information that can help in the investigation process is requested to contact constable Refilwe Motseathebe at 082 4655 945,” pleaded Covani.

He also said people can send an anonymous tip-off to MySAPS App or contact the SAPS Crime Stop number 08600 10111.

“Information can be submitted anonymously and will be treated as confidential,” he said.
