Cops bust four murder suspects linked to old woman’s brutal killing!

Through a well deep hunt of murder suspects behind the brutal murder of a 60-year-old woman, the police have successfully nabbed four suspects.

The elderly woman’s body was found buried in a shallow grave in Bergman, Mangaung.

On Tuesday, March 15, the police together with the crime intelligence followed up a tip-off to Bergman, where the first suspect aged 39-year-old, alleged to be a Lesotho citizen was arrested.

“His arrest led to the discovery of a decomposing body buried in a shallow grave inside a shack at the back of an RDP house,” said police spokesperson Mahlomola Kareli.

“The forensic experts were summoned to the scene and under a concrete slab and in a shallow grave, the body of a 60- year-old woman was discovered,” he added.

Kareli said preliminary investigations made it possible for the police to arrest three more suspects including a 54-year old-female.

“Postmortem results will enable the investigation team to determine the cause of death and will also help with the positive identification of the deceased,” he added further.

The alleged four suspects were arrested for murder and they will appear before the Bloemfontein Magistrate court.
