Bloemfontein horror ‘car-crash’ claims four lives, including toddler

Three people and a toddler, have been killed in a head-on-collision on the N3 road near the Free State University Proefplaas in Bloemfontein, yesterday, 27 December.

In a statement, VRMED paramedics said that their crew found two badly damaged cars, and this horrific two-vehicle collision, resulted in fatalities.

Paramedics found the bodies of a man, woman with a child trapped in the mangled wreck of a bakkie. The driver of the other car had also died in the crash.

It’s understood one of the drivers lost control, veered into the oncoming traffic, and sideswiped a vehicle that was coming from the opposite direction.

With many expected to return to work after the Christmas long weekend motorists are urged to exercise caution.

Meanwhile, 13 people were killed in a head-one crash between two taxis on the R57 outside Reitz, two weeks ago.
