Manana Alice Masiu went missing on Thursday, 23 December 2021, in Welkom where she visited her relatives at house number 29257 in Thabong.
The day the senior citizen went missing, she attended a church service at His Righteous And Justice Kingdom with Bokang Khabo.
Apparently she told Khabo that she was going home – referring to the house in Thabong – at around 14:00.
“Masiu never made it home, and the family reported it at Thabong Police Station the following day,” says Captain Stephen Thakeng.
Police registered a missing person file for further investigation and launched manhunt immediately.
The police have pleaded with the residents to assist in tracing the missing person.
Anyone with information regarding the elderly woman’s whereabouts may contact Detective Warrant Officer Gerrie Nel of Thabong Detective Services on 0828068432 or Police Emergency number 08600 10111.
