Hawks Serious Organised Crime Investigation team in Thabong hereby appeals to community members to assist with information regarding the murder of the two police officials.
Sergent Madiega Elias Makhooe (40), who was stationed at Odendaalsrus Detectives was shot and killed by unknown suspects. This took place upon Makhooe’s arrival at his house from fetching his wife from work on Friday, 23 October 2020.
On a separate matter, Constables Zwelinzima Sam Bomvu (29), who was stationed at Bronville Police Station was shot and killed off duty by two unknown suspects on Saturday, 14 August 2021.
Anyone with information that may assist the police in tracking suspects may contact the Hawks’ investigating officer, Warrant Officer Secala Vinger on 079 495 1153 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111. All information provided will be kept in strictest confidence.
