Crime Intelligence members received a tip-off about stolen items after a report is business burglary on Wednesday, 17 November 2021. CI engaged Public Order Policing for assistance and together they arrested six suspects.
Authorities found suspects in possession of a Toshiba laptop valued at R4 000; liquor valued at R3 000. Furthermore, they found Anit Arm Galesi firearm with seven live ammunitions and one magazine all valued R2 000 from one of the suspects aged 30. All these items were seized.

Police seized a white Toyota Quantum with FS number plates valued at R200 000 and handed the liquor back to the owner.

Six suspects (22-34) are from 2010 Section, Thabong and Riebeeckstad. They are facing possession of suspected stolen items; business burglary; and possession of illegal firearm and ammunition.
They will appear before Welkom Magistrate Court on Friday, 19 November 2021.
Lejweleputswa District Commissioner, Major General Lerato Molale welcomed this breakthrough of six arrests, seizure of items.
