Tumahole Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit detectives are still searching for an unknown rape suspects who allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl and vanished.
According to investigating officer Detective Sergeant C Fongoqa, the incident occurred on Monday, 31 May 2021, at about 02:00 am in Koppies.
The victim (17) alleged that she was at home when an unknown person knocked on the door. She further alleged the person did not respond after asking who it was.
Furthermore, the unknown suspect broke the door and entered the house. He then pinned the victim down, undressed and raped her without using a condom.
After he finished he also took the victim’s phone and ran away.
Sergeant Fongoqa applied investigative techniques to trace the suspect and managed to obtain an identikit.
This identikit gives a description of the suspect as a black male aged between 30-35. He has a medium built body with a 1.6m height and medium skin complexion. The suspect is also a fluent Sesotho speaker.
The police requests community assistance in tracing and arresting this suspect.
