Bainsvlei Police Station is looking for witnesses following a hit-and-run at Boshof R64 Road on Thursday, 13 January 2022.
On Thursday night, VISPOL members were patrolling when they spotted the body of a male person lying on the side of the road.
They called paramedics to the scene and they declared the victim dead.
Injuries suffered by the deceased raised serious suspicions that he might have been ran over by a motor vehicle.
Police identified the deceased by documents found in his possession as 52-year-old African male from Extension 4, Selosesha, Thaba Nchu.
They also registered a case of Culpable homicide at Bainsvlei Police Station.
