Meet remarkable Mrs SA top 30 finalist, Theresa Maluleke

Theresa Maluleke (29) is one of the Mrs South Africa 2023 finalists. Born and bred in Limpopo, Theresa always sought to make a difference to the world around her.

According to Theresa, pageantry was never something she thought of and it was Mrs SA that introduced her to it.

“Mrs SA has certainly opened a whole new world for me to explore,” added Theresa.

The 29-year-old secured her spot in the top 30 finalists out of an extremely competitive 100 semi-finalists.

The highly anticipated 2023 Dallmayr Mrs South Africa competition is well underway. The programme announced its 2023 finalists, at its first-ever semi-final showcase event, on Friday, July 7th, held at the Theatre of Marcellus, Gauteng.

Maluleke stated that becoming a finalist was a dream come true. She is particularly passionate about ensuring good governance and management practices within organisations. The inspiration to join the programme came from her realisation that she had a story to tell.

“l have a story to tell – one of my diverse and multi-dimensional experiences which represents the collective aspirations, dreams, challenges, and extraordinary strengths of the women in my life and community,” said the finalist.

Maluleke is what one would call a ‘beauty with brains’, as her focus is not only on pageantry. The 29-year-old is a management consultant. She also founded and manages Resa’s Bakery – which specializes in various baked goods. Furthermore, the beautiful finalist is in the process of launching the Nkwetsimo Foundation, named after her adorable daughter, Nkwetsimo. The foundation will be aimed at supporting children with special needs by equipping their caretakers and stewards.

As for her education, Theresa studied Geology, then pursued postgraduate studies in petroleum engineering.

The Mrs South Africa is one of a kind programme that allows women to embrace their extraordinary nature, regardless of what it might be.

“It has given me back my power and reignited my purpose to serve and nurture without limit.

Mrs South Africa is the country’s leading pageant for married women. It offers participants a renowned self-development programme and the opportunity to positively impact their communities. Through mentorship, leadership training, workshops, and personal development, the pageant empowers its contestants with the skills and tools necessary to effect meaningful societal change.

With the platform that the programme provides, Theresa says she cannot wait for the impact that she and other finalists will have in their communities.

The grand finale will be held on November 17th, 2023. This promises to be a spectacular event celebrating the beauty, intelligence, and leadership of the next generation of Mrs South Africa’s powerful sisterhood.

The CEO of Mrs SA, Joani Johnson, says they were amazed by the remarkable talent and dedication of 2023’s top 30 finalists.

Furthermore, Johnson expressed the pride they take in being a part of these women’s new chapters in life.

“Their strength, resilience, and determination in pursuing their dreams truly serve as an example to all women and girl,” added Johnson.
