I believe everyone have dreams. Some people work on their dreams daily until they see the results. While some give up along the way.
For one’s dream to become a reality, they need to work on it daily or as often as possible. Your dream requires you to be committed, to persevere and to have patience.
Your dream is only a dream by name, it will never work itself, it will not bring itself to life.
It will never scream ‘Hey, I am here, work on me’ It is entirely up to you to breath life into it, it is up to you to water it and make sure it sprouts.
Treat your dream as you would treat your child, a parent is always there for their child, always provides and protects their child.
Parents witnesses the growth of a child, their different stages of life. Parents are present when their child goes through defeats and triumphs.
Treat your dream like a child. It’s probably still inside you and hasn’t manifested yet, give birth to it, and cultivate it.
The only way to see your dream become a reality is if you work on it, there’s no other way. Work on your dream as if you are working for your employer and you are expecting an income at the end of the month.
Set deadlines like you do at school or work. Feel bad when a day passes by without working on it, the same way you would feel bad if you didn’t pitch for work or school without a reason.
Have the ‘No Work, No Pay Mentality’ for your dream. Always bear in mind that if you don’t work on it, you will never achieve it.
At only 24 years of age, a South African swimmer Tatjana Schoenmaker became a world record holder in the women’s 200m breaststroke in Tokyo.
Earlier that week she won silver in the 100m breaststroke. She worked on her swimming dream until she saw the results. Her dedication pushed her to swim every morning before sun rise.
She worked on her dream daily and because of that she’s known all over the world.
Had she not persevered, we wouldn’t have known about her. Your dream can make you famous if you don’t give up on it.
If Tatjana gave up 10 years ago, she wouldn’t be a world record holder today.
Your dream can change your life for the better if you give it the necessary attention it requires.
Remove self-sabotaging behaviour, exterminate your delay techniques.
Stop procrastinating, stop putting your dreams on hold, stop putting other people’s dreams ahead of yours. Spark some action and take dominance over your life.
Your dream requires you to unleash it, if you don’t, you are killing it and denying it an opportunity to make your life shine bright.
In order for you to have an auspicious future you need to start investing in your dream now.
Do not let your unfavorable circumstances hinder you from pursuing your dream.
Do not let the fact that you are growing old discourage you, do not let your past failures pull you down. You don’t have control over what transpired in the past, get up, dust yourself and keep going.
You owe your dream life, an opportunity to live, a chance to show its true potential but unfortunately your dream needs you for survival. It cannot do anything without you.
Your dream feels trapped, it feels lifeless and it needs you to rescue it by resuscitating it.
There will be uphill struggles along the way, you will come across thorns on your path of pursuing your dream but if you are determined you will hold on until the end and you will enjoy the benefits of holding on in the midst of your challenges.
If you have given up on your dream, it is never too late to resuscitate it, all it requires is for you to give it CPR then it will come back to life. God put that dream inside you for a reason, he didn’t make a mistake.
He trusts you with it, it’s time for you to trust yourself with it too. Some people are sitting down on their dreams, dreams that are supposed to make them rich, they are too relaxed to do what any individual who wants to achieve their dreams does.
May you not be one of them. May you resuscitate your dream so that you can leave the kind of a life that you have always envisaged living.
Stay Blessed.
