A 21-year-old man flung out of the vehicle and died instantly, after a bakkie rolled on the R700 road, that connects Hoopstad with Bloemfontein via Bultfontein and Soutpan.
According to the VRMED paramedics, it is alleged that in the early hours of Saturday morning, 15 January, the medical team attended to a call lodged pertaining a that Bakkie rolled to the roadside of R700.
Upon the medics arrival, they discovered a 21-year-old’s lifeless body, approximately 15 metres from the vehicle.
Preliminary investigation revealed the driver was ejected from the vehicle during the course of the accident.
VRMED also searched the surrounding area to check if the vehicle had other passengers.
The exact cause of the collision will be determined through police investigations.
The case has officially been handed over to Soutpan SAPS for further investigation.
The road was closed for 2 hours to allow emergency medical services attend to the injured and to clear the accident scene.
