Kwaito legendary and TKZee front runner, Tokollo ‘Magesh’ Tshabalala dies

Tributes continues to pour in following the passing of Tokollo “Magesh” Tshabalala, member of the legendary Kwaito group, TKZee.

The star is reported to have died today. The cause is not yet known but reports suggest that he should have suffered from suspected epileptic seizures, since his body was found without injuries.

The death of Tshabalala has been confirmed by Orlando Pirates on their Twitter page.

The musician died at the age of 45-year-old.

Tshabalala and his high school friends, Zwai Bala and Kabelo Mabalane were at the forefront of establishing TKZee shortened for their first names, Tokollo, Kabelo and Zwai kwaito in the late 90s.

Tshabalala who is the son of Stanley “Screamer” Tshabalala, started his singing career when he was recording with Mdu in Mashamplan group in the year 1995.

TKZee is known for hit singles such as Fiasco, Shibobo and Dlala Mapantsula and this resulted in them winning South African Music Awards for Best Duo/Group of the year in 1999.

The recent award they won is Lifetime Achievement award in 2019.

In the released statement, the family have asked for privacy and they mentioned that they will communicate about funeral dates.

Mzansi has passed message of condolences in Twitter.
