South Africans will have to brace themselves for hard conditions, as the upcoming weekend, is the abnormal one, with cold front and power outage.
Dark nights are on cards from today, after Eskom announced that stage 2 loadshedding will be implemented from 5pm until Sunday.
According to statement that was released, power will be off from 17:00- 22:00 , and will go off again on Saturday and Sunday on the same time as today.
“We currently have 3 045MW on planned maintenance, while another 15 534MW of capacity is unavailable due to breakdowns,” the statement reads.
Eskom has urged the country to use electricity wisely.
This means that South Africans will not have only dark nights but they will also have cold and wet weather since South African Weather Services (SAWS) has issued the warning that many parts of the country will receive rain and some will get light snowfalls over the weekend.
