Farm worker found dead in Ventersburg, family sought

The Ventersburg police request public’s assistance in finding the family of the deceased Tholani who worked at Wonderhauwel Farm in Ventersburg.

According to the Lejweleputswa police spokesperson, captain Stephen Thakeng, before being discovered in his room passed away, the deceased had been ill for a long time.

“The farm owner and former employer of the deceased, Frans Erasmus, along with other workers confirmed that Tholani was ill for some time,” added Thakeng.

For the past five years, he has been employed at the farm, but it is unknown where he originates. Furthermore, Tholani is the only name he was known by.

“Approximately, the deceased is between 40 and 50 years of age. He is 1.65m tall and dark in complexion,” informs Thakeng.

The police have stated that no one has come forward to claim the body kept at the Welkom Forensic Pathology Services. Anyone with information regarding the family of the deceased may contact the Ventersburg Detectives commander, detective warrant officer Sechaba Mothega, on 0824668152.
