Duo nabbed in connection with armed business robbery at Fleurdal Mall

Two suspects have been arrested after being linked to a business robbery at Fleurdal Mall on Tuesday morning, 20 June.

According to the acting Mangaung police spokesperson, constable Maselela Langa, the Parkweg police received a complaint about a business robbery at a store in Fleurdal mall, Bloemfontein earlier that day.

“Five suspects allegedly held employees at gunpoint and took television sets of an undisclosed amount of money, loaded them into a panel bakkie and fled the scene,” added Langa.

The police managed arrest two of the five suspects with the community’s help. Upon their arrest, both suspects had work overalls on and a firearm with ammunition in their possession.

Langa told Kasi Voice News that the pair aged 31 and 35 face criminal charges and will appear before the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.

Three other suspects, however remain at large.
