Kaizer Chiefs have resolved to permanently cut ties with Dumisani Zuma, after a troubled spell at the club.
The Amakhosi have announced that the troubled Zuma, will be leaving the Glamour Boys permanently with immediate effect, as the club has terminated his contract with a year still remaining on his contract.
“This follows his latest appearance in front of the disciplinary committee, which resulted in his dismissal as recommended by an independent authority,” the club said on Twitter.
The 27-year-old only featured three times in 2021/22 season for Chiefs, having joined the Soweto giants from the now-ABC Motsepe League side, Bloemfontein Celtic in 2017.
Msholozi, as he’s popularly known, has faced several suspensions, including twice in one season.
“He was also sent to rehab and counselling in the season that just ended,” the club further said.
Towards the end of this year’s season, Zuma was was suspended by the club for the second time in six months pending a disciplinary committee (DC) hearing.
As he departs from the Glamour Boys, the attacking midfielder featured in last five seasons, he played over 100 matches and netted 13 goals.
Meanwhile, the club announced departures of other senior players yesterday, with Daniel Akpeyi, Samir Nurkovic and Lebogang Manyama leading the pack of all those leaving the Gold and Black outfits.
