After long wait, Matjhabeng Mayor Khalipa cast vote for ANC

“Yes my vote is not a secret, I have casted my vote for the African National Congress (ANC),” this is a bold statement by untouchable Matjhabeng Mayor, Thanduxolo Khalipa.

The mayor of Matjhabeng Thanduxolo Khalipa was among the hundreds of people that woke up today, May 29, to cast their votes in the general elections of 2024 at End of Age Church in Ward 17.

The mayor was scheduled to have arrived at the venue at around 08h00, but he was delayed due to ‘pressing commitments’ in the morning.

When asked what did he vote for, Khalipa didn’t waste a semi second of his time to say he voted for the ruling party, the ANC.

He also revealed to Kasi Voice News that he is confident that the ANC will win in the general elections, because of the work that they have done on the ground -service delivery among others.

He also urged the residents of Matjhabeng to come in numbers to vote.

“We are urging the residents of Matjhabeng to come in numbers. And some are already here. And they must come and vote for the ANC, and we must then proceed with our program for better life for all,” said Khalipa.

Unfortunately some of the voters were turned away from the voting station without voting as their names did not appear on the voters roll.

While some had missed the call by the IEC to change their voting stations as they will only be allowed to vote where they are registered.
