Last year in September, the winner of Miss Spring Bloemfontein in 2019, took a stint to host a ‘hybrid community-building initiative’, together with the two non-profit organisations, Tswelopele and Phekong, to make a positive impact in their community, as they hosted multiple cultural events for youth to commemorate heritage month.

The occasion drew interest from various youth groups, where these groups came to honour the special day organised by Jacobs and two organisations.

Two conquerors, Rorisang Machona and Tshepiso Ramajwe walked away as winners of the exclusive hosted event on the day, and the vibrant Jacobs, took her busy schedule this past week, as she instilled the spirit of Ubuntu by donating schools shoes.

Born to be a community builder, Jacobs is earmarked to empower young women and men through various programmes where they advocate for education and good behaviour in society.

Speaking to Kasi Voice News, the 28-year-old says she is an advocate of active change, and she’s more determined to keep uplifting her community.

“My aim to help the needy and the most marginalised disabled people through my inspirational campaign,” Jacobs revealed to the publication.

“Since I have embarked on this journey, I have made strives to assist young school pupils for the betterment of their future.

For what I have done to give to the needy, is to fulfill a promise I’ve made on Heritage day last year, where I made a vow that I will donate school shoes to the winners of the occasion,” she said.

She’s involved in a project that is too close to her heart, as she wants to resembles the need of giving it back to the society.

“I want to fight the stigma that ranges from communities, where our society clamps down on people living with disability, and far worse, they don’t give them a chance to develop themselves,” said the enthusiastic community builder.

She says, driving a community project in the community of 2010, she felt the community has been abandoned for a long time.

“Many people have come and vowed to do something of community upliftment to the community of 2010 , but they didn’t deliver on merit.

“I wanted to leave a mark that, in life you have to adhere to service delivery,” she said.

Jacobs has commended all those who have made a significant contribution in towards her journey and has paid credits to her team who have been with her, this includes her sponsors and her mentors.

“I would like to thank all my sponsor’s for believing in me, I wouldn’t have done it without them.
