Victor Busakwe was born and bred in the township of Thabong, Welkom in Free State. He is an actor, fine artist, hip-hop artist and Venom Arts brand owner.
From a young age, acting was always engraved in Victor’s heart. He believes acting to be the ultimate game of ‘play pretend’. “It allows me to release the inner child and allows me to live out fantasies that would never be possible without it,” said the upcoming actor.
A few months ago, the 30-year-old appeared on television screens, portraying the role of a paramedic on Generations: The Legacy. In an interview with Kasi Voice News, Victor reiterated that this was one of his career’s highlights.
According to him, having achieved his dream has inspired him to continue pursuing it.
“For me it was a dream come true and a confirmation that my dreams are valid and that I should not stop chasing them,” added the actor.
Victor also appeared on Skeen Saam, one of Mzansi’s most loved soapies.
Busakwe has worked as a key grip for a short film, Ubuhle Bendalo, that aired on Mzansi Magic.
Furthermore, the actor is enrolled at Nemisa, studying Film and Television Production. He also completed a Start-up School in Partnership with Investec Entrepreneur Development Programme.
The selfless 30-year-old says among his long-term goals, is that he wants to make a difference in his community.
“I am hoping to become one of the greatest directors of photography in the near future. I also want to put my hometown on the map and empower it through lending my industry-acquired knowledge. However, more than anything, I wish to bring hope to the youth in my community and to serve as an example that it is possible to become anything you want in life as long as you put your mind to it, because there are no limits to what one can do in this life” said Victor
Victor’s skills and talents do not end there, as he is also into music.
In 2020, Victor released an EP titled At The Top, followed by a music video for Vuka as part of the EP. This led to him getting exposure to new audiences all across the country.
According to him, the song is about someone who relentlessly goes after their dreams and stops at nothing to achieve them.
The multi-talented Victor is also a founder of Venom Arts, a multifaceted company specialising in shoe customization, fabric painting and merchandise. It has its own handcrafted accessories and sneaker care products. Victor is also a co-founder for KVM Media House – a company birthed earlier this year. KVM Media House specialises in podcasts, short films, commercials, live event coverages and other digital content.
Without a doubt, Victor Busakwe is a multi-talented individual with an entrepreneur’s mindset and will surely go to greater heights. It is our believe that many youngsters and aspiring actors/actresses will be inspired by his story.
