American physician, Debasish Mridha once said, “Music can heal wounds, that medicine cannot touch”.
Sphamandla “P-mvziq” Makhubo is a 25-year-old young-visionary man who took it up to himself to live with the phrase, and have healed Cornelia locals with his soul touching music.
P-mvziq defined music as a journey and also as a way to connect different people in the world.
“Music is a journey that separate and define who we are. In short, music is life therapeutic.
“Music is also great way of connecting different people from different backgrounds it’s a great way of forgetting your problems and to just live,” said P-mvziq.
P-mvziq told Kasi Voice News that his journey in music began in his early school days where he was a backup singer for Maskandi [Zulu cultural songs] at a local traditional group.
The musician highlighted that joining the traditional group helped him to find his passion for rap music.
The rapper further said that, coming from rural areas sometimes hinders his success in a way that, he sometimes perform with poor quality sound, but what makes him happy it is the fact that the audience love and engage with his music.
The other setback that P-mvziq mentioned is that, despite the fact that people love his music, they share his tracks with one another instead of downloading it, this make him to not get money.
In every bad situation there is positivity. P-mvziq is proud to have released tracks like Biko and Blessing.
P-mvziq attested that, his music can be accessed through platforms such as SlikourOnLife.
His dream is for his music to reach more hearts and ears.
