Two people were shot dead during a shootout in Meqheleng, Ficksburg, after four unknown men charged gun shots and shot the deceased for several times until they succumbed to their wounds.
The police in Ficksburg have launched a manhunt for these suspects, and have appealed to community members to help with tracing these suspects, as they could not be identified as it was dark on that fateful night.
“Lebohang Solo and Molahloe Molahloe both sustained several fatal gunshot wounds and were certified dead at the scene by Emergency Medical Services,” said Ficksburg police spokesperson Phumelelo Dhlamini.
It is alleged that on Friday, March 12, at about 21:20 the deceased were at Zone Eight in Meqheleng playing dice game in the street together with other men, when strange men arrived and took out firearm pistols and shot the deceased several times.
“Then they run away on foot. Suspect could not be identified because it was dark.
“No one has been arrested yet a murder case has been opened and being investigated,” Dhlamini said.
