Sisi Ntombela to announce 2021 matric results with MEC Makgoe

Free State Premier, Sisi Ntombela and Education MEC, Dr Tate Makgoe will announce 2021 matric results at CUT Bloemfontein, on Friday, 21 January 2022 at 08:00.

The province will also recognise and honour hard working schools and 130 learners who outperformed others in the province. They will reward them with certificates; trophies and prizes at the Well Done Function.

“Although this is an annual event, it’s importance and impact on learners’ who receive bursaries is tremendous,” said Dr Tate Makgoe.

He further announced that the department appreciated the Free State communities; stakeholders; officials and all educators for ensuring the the set bench mark for excellent performance and quality education.

At the auspicious event, premier Ntombela; Dr Makgoe and Basic Education National Department, will publicly thank markers who went an extra mile into save scripts at Albert Moroka Secondary School Marking Centre on 15 December 2021.

Free State obtained first place in the country on 2020 matric results with 85.1% pass rate.

Makgoe says they remain optimistic that the province did well once again, but would rather await results on Thursday, 20 January 2022.
