SHOCKING: Foreign national woman sentenced to 21 years imprisonment for her 2-year-old son’s murder!

The Virginia High Court served a hefty sentence to Mafedile Mphethe (25) for drowning her two-year-old son in the Tikwe Sandriver in Virginia on January 29, last year.

According to the Lejweleputswa police spokesperson, captain Stephen Thakeng, it was discovered that the young mother was seen walking towards the Tikwe Sandriver direction with her baby boy.

By-passers became suspicious upon seeing her near the river several times.

“Later that day, the accused was seen walking without the baby.

One by-passer who saw her with a baby earlier also became suspicious and reported her to the Virginia police,” said Thakeng.

The police immediately detained and charged the woman for illegal immigration given her foreign origin.

During the investigation, the police diving unit made several attempts to locate the baby without any luck. After a few days however, on February 2, a body of a baby was spotted floating in the river.

Unfortunately, the shocked aunt positively identified the disintegrated body.

This led to the addition of a murder charge to Mphethe’s case.

“Detective sergeant Madikotsi Mamaseli of Virginia detective services led the investigation that to this conviction,” informed Thakeng.

Yesterday, Virginia High Court then sentenced Mafedile Mphethe to 21 years direct imprisonment without appeal.
