Sergeant Molelengoane solves murder case, perpetrators to serve life imprisonment!

The Theunissen Regional Court has sentenced two murderers to life in prison for the murder of Pule Edwin Ramakau (34) that took place in 2020.

According the Lejweleputswa police spokesperson, captain Stephen Thakeng, the two sentenced were on a drinking spree along with the victim when he was attacked, assaulted and stabbed on Friday, 5th June 2020.

“The victim had to be rushed to Katleho hospital, then to Pelonomi hospital in Bloemfontein for medical attention. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries after two days,” added Thakeng.

The deceased’s elder brother, Reuben Mosholi, reported the incident at the Theunissen police station. A case of murder was then registered for further investigations and was assigned to detective sergeant Thabiso Molelengoane.

Molelengoane worked tirelessly to ensure the arrest of the perpetrators to face the might of the law. He further managed to oppose bail and the duo appeared before the court while in custody.

The court found the accused, Nkareng David Sehloho (29) and Ofentse Johannes Sekgapane (26), guilty as charged and sentenced them both to life imprisonment.

“The acting Lejweleputswa district commissioner, Brigadier Mzondi Mojafi, applauded the investigator Sergeant Molelengoane for his dedication in conducting a thorough investigation which led to the arrests and sentences of culprits.
