Senobia Solomon appointed new Virginia police station commander

The Free State commissioner lieutenant general Baile Motswenyane appointed colonel Senobia Solomon as the new Virginia station commander.

The appointment follows the passing of Virginia’s station commander, Colonel Matsabu.

Solomon made her breakthrough in the police service from 19 March 1991, as a constable at Bronville police station, then went to join the Maokeng Visible Policing in 1994 and pursed with her career path in Kroonstad Support Finance in 1997.

In 2000, Solomon was promoted into the Thabong police station to spearhead the support finance.

She was then later appointed as the station commander at the Thabong police station in 2014.

The new station commander applauded the esteemed leadership of the late Colonel Matsabu and also Lieutenant Colonel Hlalele, while she also swerved to pay gratitude to her colleagues at the Virginia police members who ensured the station’s optimal performance in crime reduction.

Colonel Solomon said her turning point is to see Virginia being the safest place and vowed to continue serving the town’s residents to the best of her ability.

She concluded that inputs from Virginia management, junior staff and the community will be appreciated.
