Help sought to find duo involved in armed house robbery

Duo suspects aged between 30-35 are wanted by the police in connection with the armed robbery that occurred in May 31, Bedelia, Welkom.

According to the Lejweleputswa police spokesperson, captain Stephen Thakeng, a 31-year-old woman alleged that two unknown men entered the house through the kitchen door, claiming to be sent by the home’s father.

“These men also asked where the woman got people who were repairing the gate,” added Thakeng.

“The woman responded that there was no father in the house. This made one of the men aggressive as he drew out a firearm and pointed it at the woman.

“These duo suspects then began to conversate in an unknown language. The one with a firearm forced the woman to the bedroom.

“While forcing the woman into the other room, the suspect’s phone rang but he did not answer it,” said Thakeng.

The 31-year-old victim only left the room when she heard her friend calling her. She then realised the men fled with her LG smart TV and two remote controls. The television is black and grey in colour.

“The victim reported the matter to the police and they registered a case of house robbery for further investigation,” informed Thakeng.

Through the information received from the woman, the police managed to compile the suspects’ identikits.

The first suspect is dark in complexion, muscular and about 1,6m tall. He wore a black cotton jacket, blue shirt, white skinny jeans and coloured formal shoes.

The second suspect is also dark in complexion, slender and 1,7 m tall. He was wearing a black shirt with a black jean-jacket, black skinny jeans and navy formal shoes.
