Devastated seasoned actor Vusi Thanda, pleads for help amid financial troubles

South African actor and director Vusi Thanda, famously known for his remarkable role as Tshawe in the SABC1’s people’s once-favoured sitcom, Emzini Wezinsizwa, is pleading for financial assistance as he fights a deadly disease, sugar diabetes.

He started feeling sick in October 2020, his condition worsened in 2021, where he was forced to stay at home throughout the year.

The fear of the worst began to spread around his neighbourhood.

“In my neighbourhood people started talking, telling others that I’m dying, others would speculate that I would be dead within two weeks but because of the love of God here I am, still standing and talking about It,” Vusi unpacked to Kasi Voice News.

As far as I am concerned, as he is renowned by this enraptured phrase, explained that he now spends most of his time in the health care facilities, due to his frequent trips to the facilities.

Vusi says he had run several tests for Covid-19, as he was suspected of having it, despite his repeated assertions, “their ears were deaf” he states, claiming that he didn’t have Covid-19 , but rather sugar diabetes.

His condition improved in March this year and he was ready to go back to work but unfortunately It has become extremely difficult to find work since Covid-19 emerged in our midst.

His agent has been trying her utmost to find him work but to no availability.

He reliably shared with Kasi Voice News that, his sickness has prevented him from working, consequently everything is on hold as he cannot pay rent, school fees for his children, buy groceries, basically anything that requires money is put on hold by his illness.

Vusi explained that people on social media should not think that his financial plight has to do with his acting career, it simply has to do with his illness and that is beyond his control.

According to him some people made fun of him because of his sad reality. “I’m sorry to say this but I don’t care what people are saying, or if they don’t sympathise with me but I applaud those who feel sorry for me and I’m grateful for
their kindness and support.

I want those who are talking about me to know that I’m not the first one on earth to have problems, not to be rude or anything,” said the seasoned actor.
