The Congress of the People (Cope) has today laid corruption charges against former spy boss Arthur Fraser at Brooklyn Police Station in Pretoria.
Fraser who is the former spy boss at State Security Agency(SSA), has come under the spotlight at the Zondo Commission.
Cope Spokesperson, Dennis Bloem, said they have presses charges of corruption that stand from Zondo Commission, that were handed over to President Cyril Ramaphosa last week.
“We are taking this thing very serious, this issue of principle agent network where Mr Fraser was putting up an illegal intelligence structure,” said Bloem.
Bloem further said that the Zondo report detailed that, about 300 cars and a lot of money in the units that is unaccounted for.
“It’s tax payers money, It’s your money, It’s my money, that’s why we are hear we want the police to act as soon as possible,” he added.
Bloem further said that, the docket already exist, “What is left is the Hawks to reopen the case and take Fraser to court, as Chief Justice Ray Zondo has also advised the Hawks to do so”.
Bloem remained confident that, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) and Hawks will do their job by charging Fraser as they have done with former SAA board chairperson Dudu Myeni.
