Former South African Airways (SAA) chairperson Dudu Myeni’s case for defeating the administration of justice has been postponed to May 4.
Myeni made her first appearance before the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court today, where she had to stand on trial following her shocking revelation during the Zondo Commission, where she disclosed the identity of the witness protected and named “Mr X”.
It was in November 2020, where Myeni constantly disclosed the identity of a protected witness, despite warnings from the commission chair and now new Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, where he said Myeni shouldn’t disclose the identity of the witness.
In her defence, Myeni claimed she didn’t do this intentionally.
Mr X revealed that Myeni was involved in the corruption in Mhlathuze Water that was based in KwaZulu-Natal during her reign.
Myeni is facing charges of defeating the ends of justice.
