Candy Magidimisa is taking the business world by storm

Candy Magidimisa is a business woman, a producer and an actress, well-renowned for her role in the soap opera Muvhango as Sharon Mukwevho.

The 30-year-old was born and bred in Limpopo Venda Shayandima and she has four siblings.

Acting has always been engraved in her heart from a tender age. She reiterated that at the age of 9, she told her mother that she wanted to be an actress and that her first job would be at Muvhango and indeed her words were not in vain.

Candy is very grateful to be working for such a reputable production company, which she has gained a lot of exposure through, as well as to be among the working class since the country has a very high unemployment rate.

Although the thespian studied film and live performance majoring in screen acting from AFDA, she believes wisdom comes from God and that people do not need to have a qualification to be who they want to be or to make their dreams come true.

Magidimisa says people need to instill faith in themselves, work hard and always strive to deliver the best.

“Not that I’m saying people shouldn’t study. Education is the key. It is very important but not having a qualification shouldn’t limit or stop you from living your dreams” said the beautiful actress.

Candy is also a model for her personal designer Zamaswazi who never disappoints when it comes to making her look gorgeous in the public sphere.

“We have a very beautiful professional relationship. He is very talented. He sometimes makes my dresses a night before the event. It’s amazing how he makes me look the best in every event and that I don’t have to stress about the outfit. All thanks to Zamaswazi,” said the TV star.

There is more to Candy than meets the eye, she is also the face of ‘The Cracked Legs that Closed‘ – a promiment brand established for Ntodeni Nenungwi Foundation, to provide school shoes and uniform to needy students.

“Being part of The Cracked Legs that Closed made me so happy as I believe in giving to the needy. My mother taught me to share the little I have with those around me. Putting a smile on someone’s face fulfils me,” added Candy.

Candy recently launched her production and marketing company called King Rose PMS. In the short time it has been in business, King Rose PMS has already become a prominent player in the marketing industry.

Its client list includes a number of impressive entities including J&R Accountants, Limpopo Government, and a bank and it has around 10 employees.

Prior to joining Muvhango, Candy had dreamt of running her own marketing firm. After the lockdown, she revamped her business plan and got her dream in motion.

“I am excited about this business venture. It is something that took many years to birth. This is my safety net. Our industry is very fragile. Today you are doing well and the next you are no longer relevant.

“Knowing that I have something to fall on gives me peace. I am thrilled to see my company growing and working with such big companies. I recently produced a commercial for J&R Accountants and attended a road show that was hosted by Limpopo Government Treasury, Standard bank and J & R Accountants” shares vision-oriented business woman.

King Rose PMS employs 80% females and young people to bridge the gap in the sector. With offices in Limpopo and Johannesburg Candy says she not only aims at building an empire but also at creating sustainable jobs.

According to Candy’s spokesperson, Thanduxolo Jindela, King Rose PMS offers several production and marketing solutions to clients of any size. The business is fast growing and is headed in the right direction.

He added: “The Company offers strategies, and marketing solutions for clients across different marketing and communications.”
