The police in Harrismith are investigating a case of murder after the body of a 16-year-old boy was found in an open veld near Harrismith.
The recent horrific finding of Luyanda Mvelase shocked the police, family and community.
The young man went missing since 27 January 2022 and was never seen since then.
The police received a complaint of a body of a boy that was found in the veld near Skomplaas section of Intabazwe, Harrismith.
On arrival at the scene the body was decomposed and half naked with multiple stab wounds at the back.
The deceased was identified by her mother positively. A case of murder is being investigated.
