2 Point 1 music releases first album “Tsa ko kasi Vol’1”

The Senya Ketla Patala hitmakers have made a sensational return in the music fraternity, following the global halt of COVID-19.

This time around, the two inspirational artists returns with a bang, as they took their fans by surprise with their major ground breaking album titled Tsa Ko Kasi Volume 1.

The album comes following a stint hard work for the duo artists, Prince “Priga” Baloyi and Moketsi “Shege” Rathebe.

They have made their mark in the music fraternity in 2012, with their debut track Senya Ketla Patala featuring Butana.

The duo grew up in the dusty location of Thabong, Welkom, the place of happiness.

“Growing up there was fun and such an amazing experience in life coz in that type of environment we grew up seeing both horrible moments and beautiful things at the same time.

“You know how kasi life is in terms of crime and all, it was just a matter of making decisions whether you take the right path or you fall for the environmental influence.

“Luckily enough our parents took a good care and played a very important role to us and made sure we avoid all bad things that happened in front of our eyes,” said the Retlo Docha hitmakers.

They met in 2009, where they shared the same experience as they had the taste in the music industry.

The duo says they are inspired by the most successful music duos in the country, that incorporates of Black Motion, Revolution and Dj Vetkuk vs Mahoota.

It all started back in high school, where every Fridays Priga will make beats using rulers and math instruments and anything that could possibly make a rhythm, while, Shege was a drummist in a worshiping team in church.

In 2013, the pair linked up together, and dwelt in the esteemed working relations.

Getting so much respect, praise and attention in what they do especially nationally, satisfies their hearts.

They do music out of love, but getting to see someone out there paying them for their craft and get to know how much someone gets inspired by 2 Point 1 motivates them so much hence they keep on going.

“Music is one of the biggest business space in the entire world, you need to take yourself serious,” said Priga.

“Invest your time for it, have self-discipline, have patience and most importantly believe in yourself and you have to love what you do, the rest will follow”, added Priga.

The Senya hitmakers continually says they have no key mentors in their journey.

Their music has exceptional done well in the market, having being played in various radio stations and one of their famous track “Batho Bana Ke Bana” played on the dissolved Mzansi’s soapie Rhythm City.
