Virginia – Three men appeared before the Virginia Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 02 August 2021 where they were convicted for murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
The accused are Mojalefa Tseki (30) and Thanki Dickson Motseki (29) and as well as Ernest Pule Chambisso (36).
According to evidence presented to the court, their conviction originates from an incident which took place on Monday, 24 September 2018 where the deceased, Karl Reich was kidnapped from his residence in Welkom and robbed of his two vehicles.
Reich was found murdered the following day on Tuesday.
The matter was then handed over to Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation in Bloemfontein for further investigation culminating to the conviction of the three accused.
Sentencing proceedings are set to begin on 05 August 2021 and 06 August 2021, where the trio will hear their sentencing.
