The police have made a breakthrough in their investigation into the murder of Abram Mokebe from Matlwangtlwang,
Steynsrus, who was found lying in the veld.
On the 14 December, at about 08:30 the police received a complaint about an African male lying in the veld, with visible injuries and was declared dead on the scene by Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
After the murder there were no leads to arrest the suspect but the police and the community worked hand in hand in making sure that they leave no stone unturned in order to bring the perpetrator to book.
According to SAPS spokesperson captain Malebo Khosana, following a prompt response by the police, the suspect was apprehended at the neighbor’s house trying to hidden from the police.
The suspect will appeared before the Steynsrus Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 30 December.
