The Bloemfontein police warns of the increasing number of scammers selling police recruitment vacancies.
To clarify the matter, the recruitment and training process has begun only for applicants who’s applications were in the final stages before Covid-19 interruption.
According to Brigadier Motantsi Makhele, before the pandemic, the application process had progressed to the point whereby selected candidates completed examination to verify their suitability to serve as officers.
“Furthermore, the SAPS received a large number of applicants to track each one of them,” added Makhele.
The police are investigating the matter to ensure adequate service delivery. They also warn the public against hoax messages containing job advertisements to avoid falling victim to fraud
Jobs within the SAPS are not for sale and job seekers should contact their nearest police station when in doubt. People are also encouraged to check the SAPS website at www.saps.gov.za for available vacancies in the careers area
