Odendaalsrus police, local churches bids for divine intervention to eradicate crime

The Police and churches represented by all Provinces gathered in one room to ask for a divine intervention to address the scourge of crime in Odendaalsrus and the entire beautiful country called South Africa.

The Station Commissioner also addressed the gathering. Those who succumbed due to Covid 19 pandemic were also remembered through Candle Light session.

On Saturday, 25 September 2021 from 11:00 the event started at JC Mottumi Secondary School to celebrate Heritage Month by joining forces with churches to tackle crime in the spirit.

Community For Jesus Apostolic Church was represented by all Provinces in Mzansi.

The gathering was opened with a prayer by Bishop Moshodi Moshodi, the welcoming address was done by Councillor Bhuda Ramalefane. Arch Bishop Thomas Serhole led the Memorial Service of those who succumbed to Covid 19 pandemic.

In attendance in this gigantic event, Sergeant Pulane Maloka Sector Commander, Sergeant Ketegile Mavuso Community Policing Officer and Colonel Thenjiwe Mkhumbeni, Odendaalsrus Station Commander who addressed the gathering.

She focused on Gender Based Violence, compliance to Covid 19 pandemic regulations and appreciated the involvement of the churches in their endeavor to fight crime by asking the intervention of our Heavenly Father.

She further mentioned that crimes that are been committed these days are brutal and cruel. Thus the intervention from above is needed so that the fear of God can be instilled in the hearts of men, women and teen boys and girls.

The event was ended with a Prayer to the nation and law enforcement agencies.
