Nhlanhla Lux: The firebrand leader or violent man?

Operation Dudula’s prominent leader Nhlanhla ‘Lux’ Dlamini handed himself to the police in Soweto, Gauteng on Wednesday,13 April, this has been confirmed by Gauteng police spokesperson, Mavela Masondo.

Lux was charged over an assault case, emanating from an incident that occurred in 2019, where Dlamini allegedly assaulted a tenant who was renting at his mother’s place in Meadowlands.

On Wednesday, he was handed “caution and discharge” sentence for missing a court date over an assault case that happened in 2019.

Few weeks ago, Lux was released on a R1500 bail after he was accused of housebreaking and causing malicious damage when operation Dudula raided house of Victor Ramerafe, accused of dealing with drugs and being labelled n ‘immigrant’.

The question that now remains is, does Lux portrays qualities of a leader or he is just a violent man?

He has been making rounds on social media with his organisational members assaulting foreigners, with claims that they are in the country illegally, while some are taking jobs that are meant for South Africans.

In his Twitter account he tweeted “Another day another battle. Warrant of arrest from 3 years ago, apparently @SAPoliceService couldn’t find me all these years.”

“I guess it is my twin that is operating with police week in week out: Maponya July unrest? Electricity protest? Dudula?,”.

According to this tweet, Lux doesn’t show that he is sorry for what he has done, he is rejoicing.
