New Thabong Station Commander promises to work with residents

This senior officer started his career as a Police Constable in Kroonstad and ended up as a Station Commander in Thabong.

He promises to work with residents to reduce crime and improve service delivery.

During Saver Festive Season Provincial launch at Vuyo Charles Stadium, Thabong, Free State Commissioner, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane, introduced the Brigadier.

Brigadier Envor Solomon, born and raised in Bloemfontein, and finished his matric in 1997.
He enlisted in the SAPS in 1998 and started his career as a Police Constable at Kroonstad Police Station.

He later transferred to Maokeng Police Station, attending to complaints and closely working with Maokeng residents, and learned learn Sesotho in the process.

In 2000, Solomom received a promotion to Lieutenant Colonel rank in Welkom and appointed as the Commander of Crime Prevention.

During 2009, this senior officer transferred to former Thabong Cluster as the Visible Policing Coordinator, and in 2019 to District Operational Coordinator.

On 01 October 2021, Envor Solomon received promotion to the Brigadier rank and appointed as Thabong Station Commander.

Brigadier Solomon mention his gratitude for his appointment as Thabong Station Commander.
He further appealed to residents’ cooperation in fighting crime and committed himself to work closely with the community.

The new station commander vowed to improve service delivery and came up with the slogan, “Together We Can”.

Brigadier Solomon further aligned himself with the 2030 National Development Plan, to ensure that residents of Thabong are and feel safe.

He concluded with Nelson Mandela’s quote, “Crime must be brought under control. Freedom without civility, freedom without the ability to live in peace, was not true freedom at all.”

Lejweleputswa District Commissioner, Major General Lerato Molale, wished Brigadier Solomon well in his new venture to continue to serve and protect the society.
