This followed the Friday night, 05 February when Boithuso Client Centre received a complaint of a fight at a tavern.
According to the police statement, authorities attended to the complaint at S-Section at around 22:05. “Upon arrival, the police found an African male lying motionless next to the tavern’s rest room,” read the statement.
They then summoned paramedics to the location. Paramedics personnel declared the victim dead at the scene.
The police started a preliminary investigation and interviewed witnesses. Information provided by interrogated witnesses led the police to arrest the aforementioned 25-year-old.
A murder trial took place before Botshabelo Magistrate’s Court and the court sentenced Tsotetsi to spend 15 years behind bars.
