The family of late South African rapper and dancer Costantinos Tsobanoglou well known as ‘Costa Titch’ on Monday, May 6, shared the pathology report revealing the cause of the superstar’s death on his Instagram page.

Costa Titch passed away on March 11, 2023 at the age of 27, after he collapsed on stage while performing at the Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead.

In 2023, Costa Titch’s mother, Lara Langeveld pleaded for help while awaiting her son’s toxicology report. She said her son “definitely” ingested something that led to his death, denying speculations that the musician died as a result of an epileptic seizure from drug use.

At the time, she said that the National Health Laboratory Services could “take months or even years to finalise toxicology tests.”

Released statement on Instagram.

Over a year later, the late hit maker’s family has shared the post-mortem examination results which reveal that there was “significant strain on Costa’s heart, unbeknownst to him, compounded by enduring stress and fatigue.”

This conclusion likely led to “an irregular heartbeat, triggering the seizure that claimed his life.”
