The Reabetswe Secondary School’s main class room, also used as an examination room, caught fire as maintenance work took effect on Thursday, 11 November 2021.
When reaching out for comment pertaining the devastating incident, an SBG member who preferred to stay anonymous told Kasi Voice News that there was welding taking place on school’s premises when the classroom caught fire.
“The classroom caught fire, while the construction workers were still working, however, we don’t have more information on what triggered the fire on the scene,” said the anonymous person.
The source revealed that it was not a major fire outbreak.
According to the source, fire fighters managed to put out the fire.
The classroom did not sustain much damage.
Matriculants scheduled to write have been shifted to 14:45. Lower grades writing dates have also been shifted.
