A convicted Bultfontein serial rapist has been handed down a life-time imprisonment for raping a 19-year-old woman.
A 28-year-old convict raped the victim on 16 October 2016.
The victim was a matriculant and was coming back from matric farewell together with her friend and decided to go for an after party.
They then saw a group of about six unknown men who wanted to rob them of their cell phones.
The men decided to take both girls to separate houses and raped them.
The victim was raped more than once by the accused and he also threatened to kill her if she makes noise and drink her blood with his friends as a sacrifice.
The victim then managed to send her sister a location via the cellphone while the accused was outside and she was rescued by the community and the suspect was arrested.
Accused, Teboho Abel Mokhethi was found guilty as charged by the Bultfontein Regional Court on Thursday, the 21 October 2021.
The District Commissioner of Lejweleputswa, Maj Gen Lerato Molale thanked residents of Phahameng who rescued this victim and applauded the investigator, Detective Constable Lerato Mokupi for her thorough investigation which led to the heavy sentence.
