NINTEEN people have been killed in a horrific collision on the R34 road in Free State.
At least 19 people believed to be family members were killed, in a head-on collision involving a minibus taxi and a construction truck on the R34 road between Bloemhof and Schweizer-Reneke in Free State on Sunday night.
The Road Traffic and Management Corporation (RTMC) reported a head-on collision of a mini bus taxi and a tipper truck which lead to death of family members.
On Sunday, 28 February, the RTMC reported the gruesome accident on their Twitter account.
According to RTMC, the Toyota Quantum was travelling from Bloemhof, transporting the family home to Schweizer-Reneke on R34 when it collided with the constriction truck.
The two vehicles’ circumstances are unknown. However, RTMS reported that thei Crash and Reconstruction unit would investigate the matter.
