South Africans express with dismay over Brickz Mabrigado’s release from jail!

South Africans reacted with dismay while others were hot under the collar following the unexpected release of Kwaito star Sipho Ndlovu better known as ‘Brickz Mabrigado’ from jail.

The Sweety my Baby hitmaker is allegedly out of the cold cell after serving nearly four years instead of 15 years from prison.

Brickz was found guilty of raping his niece who was 17 at that time in 2013 at his house.

He was then sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by the Roodepoort Magistrate Court in 2017.

His sudden released has left many in limbo, this follows a recent picture of ex-convict and DJ Cleo which surfaced on social media, where the two were in the SABC studios.

In April 2018, Brickz was released from prison on a pending bail of R80 000, however he lost an appeal and he had to go back to the cells where he continued with his sentence.

South Africans expressed with different views regarding his release, as some fans were happy to see him back.

“Brickz has served his sentence, he has paid the price of his sin.He must be allowed space and he qualifies to do and anything he wants to including his TV show,” said one of Twitter users.

And some were not in favour of his release, as other Twitter users said: “I don’t know how Jub Jub was allowed to be on TV and make mockery of black people after everything that he (had) done.”

They better not do the same with Brickz, we do not need these people on TV again,” Tweet further read.
