It’s another massive blow for South Africans, as the country will yet again experience another adjustments of fuel prices from Wednesday.
On Wednesday, petrol price will go up by a whopping R2,37 cents a litre for 93 octane, while 95 octane will rise by R2,57 cents a litre.
Diesel is set to jump up by between R2,30 and R2,31 cents a litre.
The Central Energy Fund made this shocking announcement of fuel price increases for July 2022 on behalf of South Africa’s energy department today, with substantial increases for motorists driving petrol and diesel vehicles.
“The average international product prices for Petrol, Diesel and Illuminating Paraffin increased during the period under review,” said the Central Energy Fund in a released statement.
Breakdown of fuel price increases for July were entailed as follows by Central Energy Fund:
- Unleaded 95 petrol — Increase of R2.57
- Unleaded 93 petrol — Increase of R2.37
- 50ppm diesel — Increase of R2.30
- 500ppm diesel — Increase of R2.31
- Illuminating paraffin — Increase of R1.56
