The South African Football Association (SAFA) has confirmed that the federation’s late match commissioner Matankiso Titi, will be laid to rest in her hometown of Bethlehem on this coming weekend.
Titi, was among five people who were killed on Friday last week, in a head-on collision involving a car and a truck on the R57 road between Heilbron and Sasolburg.
The 48-year-old was on her way to officiate in the DStv Diski Challenge match between Sekhukhune United and Mamelodi Sundowns.

At the time of her death, Titi was Referees Instructor and a member of SAFA’s National Referees Committee.
She was a proud holder of a FIFA badge during her time as an assistant referee between 2004 and 2010.
Her memorial service will be held on Wednesday in Bethlehem, to be followed by her funeral on Saturday where she will be laid to her final rest.
