SA in jubilant mood, as Black Coffee scoops his first Grammy!

The social media is filled with excitement as fans are happy for DJ Black Coffee for bringing home an award all the way from Las Vegas, Nevada.

The first-time Grammy award winner walked away with an accolade for the category of Best Dance/ Electronic Music for his album that is titled Subconsciously.

Mzansi’s remarkable producer Black Coffee out shined the likes of Major Lazer and Marshmello for the award.

In other another contest for the Best Global Music Performance–in which Angelique Kidjo and Burna Boy (“Do Yourself”), Wizkid and Tems (“Essence”) and Femi Kuti (“Pà Pá Pà”) were nominated—went to Paskistani musician Arooj Aftab.

The star took to his Twitter account celebrating his victory by saying, “ Grammy Award winning artist,”.

Fans and other fellow celebrity stars reacted with Joy on Twitter.

Anele Mdoda tweeted “ Okes. No milk in our coffee today and when you have black coffee please tag @RealBlackCoffee @AneleAndTheClub #aneleandtheclub let’s celebrate our very own Black Coffee!!!!,”.

Deon G tweeted “ Congrats @RealBlackCoffee, this is an epic moment,”.

The Economic Freedom Fighters also praised Black Coffee, in a released statement, where they sang songs of praise for the veteran and legendary king of deep house.
