Police request community’s assistance in locating missing man

Police are asking the community’s assistance in their search for Tsholofelo Kgothule, who has been missing since last year.

The 34-years-old went missing on last year in December at about 14:00 in Meloding, Virginia.

His colleague whom they work as construction workers says the alleged missing person informed him that he was going to Durban, KwaZulu-Natal at the time he was last seen on the 23rd of December.

His mother attempted to reach him several times on his cellphone but all were in vain.

She then decided to ask his friends and girlfriend who reported back to the mother that they couldn’t get hold of
him.

It is reported that concerned mother tried to reach out to him and the cellphone was answered by a man who was speaking IsiZulu.

“The matter was reported to the Police, and a missing person file was registered for further
investigation,” said Lejweleputswa spokesperson Stephen Thakeng.

Preliminary investigation reveals that Khothule was allegedly seen in Durban South Beach as a street vendor.

“He is light in complexion, medium built, black short hair, and short in height. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing black pair jeans, purple t-shirt, black all star tekkies shoes.

“The police request the community to help find Tsholofele Khothule. Anyone with information, that will help bring Khothule home safely is urged to contact detective sergeant Ntombi Radebe on this number: 082 466 8025, or alternatively crime stop number on 08600 10111,” says Thakeng.

Thakeng confirmed that the case is still under investigation.
