The American basketball player, LeBron James has now climbed a ladder of wealthiest sportsmen in the world, as his net worth has now shoot to billions, making officially a billionaire.
Los Angeles Lakers star is the 18th-time and first NBA player to be a billionaire, whilst still playing the sport.
Forbes, an American business magazine, said James made an estimated $121,2 million last year and this year he’s net worth surpassed $1 billion.
The reports further revealed that James is the highest paid NBA player, who earns more than $385 million salary for Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami heat and Los Angeles Lakers combined.
His life time deal with Nike that pays tens of millions every year is also a major contributor to his wealth.
The superstar was the second-highest paid player last year, following the well-known soccer star, Lionel Messi.
James also sold a minor stake from his company, The SpringHill, that is believed to have made him an estimated $169,2 million.
